Spain focused the research in Al-Andalus times and the traces we can still see nowadays. Al-Andalus is the name that Muslims gave to Iberian Peninsula. Muslims were since 711 CE until 1492. They brought modern medicine and agriculture. It was a quite long period were Catholic and Muslims lived together. Our present Spain is impossible to understand without this period and it is important Europe knows about this fact to avoid hate and foster coexistance.
